Director Sudipto Sen‘s The Kerala Story had a mixed response from the audience, critics and industry people alike. Veteran actors like Naseeruddin Shah and Kamal Haasan had called the film a propaganda. Despite criticism, the film went on to earn over Rs 300 crore worldwide. Now, Adah Sharma, who played one of the lead actresses in the film, has reacted to Naseeruddin and Kamal’s comments about The Kerala Story.
When asked about it, Adah told a news portal that she feels rejoiced at the freedom of speech we have in our country, where without even watching a film, it can be discredited, labeled and publicly be ripped apart.

She said that anyone can say anything about anybody and can continue to live unharmed, which is the beauty of India. She said that people with different ideologies can co-exist and inspite of these famous actors made their stance, the audiences still went to watch the film in theatres.
After its successful run in theatres, The Kerala Story is now ready to be released on digital platforms. Adah had earlier said that the movie will come on OTT soon.
On the work front, Adah is set to start working soon in an international production. She will play the role of a female superhero in the film. She has chosen to keep the details under the wraps.
