Farah Khan started her career as a choreographer, and then eventually moved to filmmaking. She has directed four films, three of which featured Shah Rukh Khan in leading roles. She made her directorial debut with the Shah Rukh Khan-starrer “Main Hoon Na” (2004), which quickly became a cult classic. In a recent interview, Farah confessed that she is eager to collaborate with Shah Rukh again, referring to him as her ‘lucky mascot.’ She also acknowledged that the success of “Main Hoon Na” at the box office was largely due to Shah Rukh’s presence.

While chatting with YouTuber Mr. Faisu, Farah fondly recalled “Main Hoon Na,” emphasizing how Shah Rukh’s involvement contributed to its success. She remarked that while making the film, she strongly believed that it would work because Shah Rukh was starring in it. She further went on to add that she still feels that if she had make a film, it will be with Shah Rukh. That film will definitely succeed, even if it means waiting for some time.

Describing her bond with Shah Rukh, Farah stated, “He is my lucky charm.”
Apart from “Main Hoon Na,” Farah directed “Om Shanti Om,” “Tees Maar Khan,” and “Happy New Year.” While all these films featured Shah Rukh Khan in prominent roles, “Tees Maar Khan” was an exception as it starred Akshay Kumar. However, “Tees Maar Khan” did not fare as well as Farah Khan’s other projects in terms of box office earnings. Despite a budget of Rs 45 crore, “Tees Maar Khan” grossed only Rs 101.89 crore.

In contrast, Farah’s other films were massive successes. For instance, “Happy New Year” grossed Rs 394 crore, while “Om Shanti Om” brought in Rs 150 crore. “Main Hoon Na” was also the second-highest-grossing film of 2004.
