Genelia D’Souza wants to be a part of Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na sequel, wishes the ‘universe’ gets the message

Genelia D’Souza, whose OTT movie Trial Period releases today, recently expressed a desire to be part of the sequel of her cult movie Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, if it ever gets made.

In an interview, Genelia got nostalgic about the movie as it completed 15 years and said she definitely would love to be part of the same again, that co-starred former actor Imran Khan opposite her in the lead.

She further said that she is hoping the universe is listening and something like this does happen.
Genelia, who does only a handful of projects now recently opened up on the reason behind the same. Amidst rumours that husband Riteish must have told her to quit acting, Genelia has now addressed the rumours and clarified that there was no such thing.
When she was asked if people still say these things about them, Genelia told Bollywood Bubble that people say what they want to say but there’s no truth to it. She said that she herself decided to stay away from showbiz because she wanted to enjoy life with her husband and kids.
She further said that people still ask her, ‘Why don’t you do so much more work?’ but she doesn’t feel she can do so much work. She said that she still enjoys that whole part of being with her kids because she wants to do that. And she will choose when she wants to work in films.

Genelia and Riteish tied the knot on February 3, 2012. After two years of marital bliss, they were blessed with their son, Riaan Deshmukh. And in 2016, they welcomed their second baby boy, Rahyl Deshmukh.
