Sanjay Kapoor made his debut with 1995 and did a number of memorable films in the 90s. However, his career didn’t always see a high. The actor made a comeback after many years and now has projects back-to-back after ‘Lust Stories’ in 2018. The actor said in an interview recently, that despite the fact that one’s career may not be going as per their expectations, they can’t give up.
Kapoor further added that, one can’t get frustrated. When he did ‘Sirf Tum’, it was a superhit but he didn’t sign anything for one year after that. He later did a 30-minute segment in ‘Lust Stories’ which changed his life. Sanjay assures that if one has talent then success will eventually come, even if it’s delayed. However, the not-so-good phase has made him quite grounded.
The actor further confessed that it wasn’t that work didn’t come to him, but it wasn’t worthwhile. So, he didn’t want to lose his self respect and dignity which he had earned. Hence, he got into production because he had to run his house and feed his family. He loved production and did that but at that point, he didn’t want to sign anything which he would later regret. Kapoor added that he’s done films which didn’t do well but he doesn’t regret doing any of those. Sanjay has some words of inspiration for people, as he says that when hurdles come, one has to work harder and that’s what he did.
Sanjay’s daughter Shanaya Kapoor is set to make her debut soon. Talking about her, Sanjay said that since she has seen his journey and how he has conducted himself, she has imbibed his wisdom. Sanjay added that Shanaya has understood how the industry is and what kind of hardships, focus and dedication it demands.
Shanaya’s debut film is called ‘Bedhadak‘. Directed by Shashank Khaitan, it also stars Gurfateh Pirzada and Laksh Lalwani.
