Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor are teaming up for the first time for Nitesh Tiwari’s Bawaal. Going by their banter on social media, one can figure that the duo are very comfortable in each other’s company. But that was not exactly the scene when Varun and Janhvi began shooting for the film.
The actors were recently in Dubai for the trailer launch of the film and during a conversation with Galatta Plus, Varun Dhawan revealed that he didn’t speak much to Janhavi during the initial months of filming.Revealing the reason behind the same, Varun said that he felt the two of them would instantly become friends and he did not want that to happen. So he kept some distance from Janhvi and would talk to everyone on the sets but maintained very little conversation with the actress. Varun felt that this treatment evoke a different emotion, which would be beneficial for their scenes together. Varun and Janhvi essay the role of a couple who slowly are get to know each other and that is how he wanted it to happen in real life as well.
Varun also revealed that he had kept director Nitesh Tiwari in the loop about his plan. He also added that after about 20 days, he revealed his plan to Janhvi and they agreed that his plan had worked well.
Bawaal will release on July 21.
