Four killed as speeding car rams into two autorickshaws in Sangareddy- NSP NEWS

Four persons were killed and four more were injured in a road mishap on the Balanagar-Narsapur highway on January 3. A speeding car collided with two autorickshaws travelling in the opposite direction, said the police.

The deceased have been identified as 24-yearr-old Assistant Engineer in the Panchayat Raj Department in Narsapur Papagari Manisha, 20-year-old degree student D. Aishwarya Laxmi, 50-year-old resident of Kowdipally Anasuya and 24-year-old resident of Yellareddyguda Praveen. The two auto drivers had a providential escape. The accident occurred in Sangareddy district near Jinnaram at 10.20 a.m., leaving four others injured.

Inspector Nayeemuddin of Jinnaram police said that the car was driven by a professional driver Daya Shankar, using his cousin’s car. “The vehicle veered onto the opposite lane, ramming into the autorickshaws. The first autorickshaw had three passengers, while Praveen was the sole passenger in the second,” said the officer.

Police have registered a case and are investigating the incident. Accused driver Daya Shankar has been arrested.
