Man steals ambulance in Hyderabad; caught after high-speed chase- NSP NEWS

High drama unfolded on the National Highway-65 on Saturday morning (December 7, 2024) after a man stole an 108 Telangana State ambulance from Hayathnagar on Hyderabad’s outskirts.

The Rachakonda police said the man was caught on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada Highway. A video recorded by a bystander shows the vehicle being driven at high speed, dodging parked vehicles, weaving in and out of barricaded road near the Choutuppal toll plaza and disappearing after breaking the toll-gate barrier.

Police said the man crossed a toll plaza in Choutuppal by evading the check-posts in the middle of the chase and was finally caught in the Chityala area of Nalgonda district border. Sub-inspector of Rachakonda police John Reddy sustained injuries in the pursuit. Police are yet to reveal the name of the accused and the motive behind the theft.
