Passenger sustains eye injury as crews of two private buses clash in Pathanamthitta- NSP NEWS

A woman passenger sustained a serious eye injury after a private bus driver hurled a stone during a clash between the crews of two private buses in Pathanamthitta on Tuesday. The victim, identified as Jyothilakshmi, a student from Kodumon, was struck by a shard of glass in her eye during the altercation. She was initially rushed to a private hospital and later transferred to Kottayam Medical College Hospital for specialised treatment.

Following the incident, the police detained the employees of the private buses, namely “Nibumon” and “Swapna”. The Motor Vehicles department (MVD) announced that the driver of the Nibumon bus, Shaji, will have his license suspended. According to the police, the incident occurred at 5.30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Jyothilakshmi was seated in the front row of the bus when the clash unfolded.
