Withdraw eligibility tests for promotion, teachers’ body tells T.N. govt.- NSP NEWS

The State government should make a policy decision that eligibility test will not be necessary for promotions, said the Tamil Nadu Graduate Teachers Federation. In its executive committee meeting held on Saturday, the federation passed 11 resolutions, including the demand that the government reinstate the old pension scheme and revert to the old method of incentives and cancel the Government Order 95, said P. Patrick Rhymend, general secretary. All high school and higher secondary schools must have eight graduate teacher posts for Classes VI to X. The teachers have also demanded compensation for the privilege leave they had surrendered during the pandemic.
