Satya Institute of Technology and Management (SITAM) director Majji Sashibhusana Rao on Thursday said that the institution has established a new polytechnic college with five regular diploma courses for which admissions would be taken up soon for the academic year 2026-27. Addressing the media here, he said that diploma courses such as chemical engineering, computer science, artificial intelligence -machine learning, electrical and electronics would enable students build a strong foundation in key courses after the completion of their 10th exam.

He added that polytechnic students can pursue engineering courses through lateral entry in the future. SITAM college dean V.G. Prasuna added that the management had focused on quantum computing with the establishment of new innovation centre which completed 17 new research projects. The Polytechnic College principal G.T. Naidu was present in the media conference.
